Regulatory, Lane & Parking Signs

- DThis lane is kept for people who ride bicycles.
Show the answer and the explanationHide the answer
Correct answer: C. Bicycles are not allowed on this road.
Why
The red circle and slash mean NO. This No Bicycles sign tells you that bicycles may not use this road or facility, for example a section of freeway. If you ride a bicycle, use another route. As a driver, you can expect fewer bicycles here, but still watch for them. The yellow diamond Bicycle Warning sign is different: it warns that bicyclists may ride on or cross the road ahead.
Why the other answers are not correct
- A. Wrong: a warning of bicycles ahead is a yellow diamond with a bicycle and no red circle and slash.
- B. Wrong: the red circle and slash forbid bicycles here; they do not give bicycles the full lane.
- D. Wrong: a bike lane is shown by a BIKE LANE sign and lane markings, not by a red circle and slash.
