Correct answer: C. Cars, trucks and motorcycles may not use the path.
Why
This regulatory sign means that motor vehicles may not go past it. It can stand at the entrance to a path for people who walk and bike. Cars, trucks and motorcycles must stay off the path. The sign does not keep out people who walk or ride bicycles. Other exclusion signs name or show the type of traffic that they keep out, such as the No Trucks sign or the No Bicycles sign.
Why the other answers are not correct
- A. A bicycle is pedal-powered, not a motor vehicle; the No Bicycles sign shows a bicycle with a red circle and slash.
- B. A motorcycle is a motor vehicle, so this sign keeps motorcycles off the path too.
- D. Parking rules use parking signs; this sign keeps motor vehicles off the path itself.
