Show the answer and the explanationHide the answer
Correct answer: D. Trucks may not use this road.
Why
A black truck under a red circle and slash means trucks may not use this road. Truck drivers must take another route. Other vehicles may still use it. A plaque below the sign, such as EXCEPT LOCAL DELIVERY, can allow some trucks. A yellow diamond with a truck symbol is different: it warns that trucks may enter or cross the road ahead.
Why the other answers are not correct
- A. That warning uses a yellow diamond with a truck symbol; a red circle and slash prohibit.
- B. Lane rules for trucks use word signs; this symbol keeps trucks off the road.
- C. Truck parking is shown on a blue service sign; this sign excludes trucks.
