Correct answer: A. Do not turn while your signal shows a red light
Why
This sign means you must not turn while your signal is red, even after a full stop and even when the way is clear. Stay stopped until a signal allows your turn, then yield to pedestrians and other traffic. The sign does not ban turns on green. A different sign, NO TURN ON RED EXCEPT FROM RIGHT LANE, allows the turn on red from one lane.
Why the other answers are not correct
- B. Wrong: the sign bans turns only while the signal is red; you may still turn when the signal permits the turn.
- C. Wrong: the sign removes the turn on red that is usually allowed after a stop.
- D. Wrong: the sign shows no hours, so the ban applies whenever the signal is red; a time limit needs an added legend or plaque.
