Show the answer and the explanationHide the answer
Correct answer: B. You may not turn right or left at this intersection
Why
This NO TURNS sign means you may not turn right or left at this intersection. Plan ahead: go through the intersection and choose another route to reach your turn. Signs that ban one movement look different: the No Right Turn and No Left Turn signs show a black turn arrow inside a red circle with a red slash.
Why the other answers are not correct
- A. Wrong: that is the meaning of a No Left Turn sign; this sign also prohibits right turns.
- C. Wrong: a No U-Turn sign shows a U-shaped arrow; this sign prohibits right and left turns.
- D. Wrong: the sign does not ask you to stop; it prohibits turns at this intersection.
