Correct answer: B. Make a right turn at the cross street.
Why
This lane sign shows an arrow and the word ONLY. Traffic in the lane under the sign must make the movement that the arrow shows, here a right turn. Choose your lane early. If you want to go straight, use a different lane. A lane sign with one arrow that has two heads, and no word ONLY, means that you may make either movement from that lane.
Why the other answers are not correct
- A. A lane sign that allows a choice shows one arrow with two or more heads and does not use the word ONLY.
- C. A turn ban is shown by a red circle and slash over the arrow; this sign requires the turn.
- D. Curves are shown on yellow diamond warning signs; this white sign controls how a lane is used.
