You wait to turn left out of a side street. A motorcycle comes toward your street on the main road with its right turn signal flashing. What is the safest action?
Blue car A waits facing north at a side street before turning left. Motorcycle B approaches from the left on the main road. A separate card states that B’s right signal is flashing.
Correct answer: Wait until you are sure the motorcycle is actually turning before you pull out
Why
Motorcycles have the same rights as other vehicles and can use a full lane. Before you turn or pull out, look carefully for motorcycles, and check your mirrors and blind spots for them. When you follow a motorcycle, stay at least two seconds back, and farther on a wet road.
