Passing target: 80% (52/65)
On a two-lane road, a car behind you moves into the oncoming lane to pass you. What should you do?
Blue car A is in the right-hand travel lane while silver B is behind it in the opposite lane, facing the same direction to pass. The broken yellow centerline and no-path question preserve the stated maneuver.
Correct answer: Keep right in your lane, and do not speed up until the car has passed.
Why
A passing driver is in the most danger while in the oncoming lane. When you hold or reduce your speed, the other driver can return to the right lane sooner and with more space. If the driver cannot finish the pass, slow down to make a gap in front of you.
