Passing target: 80% (52/65)
You are in the left lane of a two-way street with two lanes each way. You will turn left onto another two-way street with two lanes each way. No signs or markings show a path. Which lane should you turn into?
A starts next to the center line in the left lane of a two-way street. Both streets have two lanes each way, with no turn guides or selected receiving lane in the question.
Correct answer: The left lane of the new street, just to the right of its center line.
Why
When you start next to the center line and end next to the center line, your path is short and other drivers can predict it. It also leaves the right lane free for drivers who turn right at the same time. If you need the right lane, change lanes after the turn, when it is safe.
