Passing target: 80% (52/65)
You finish parallel parking on the right side of a two-way street. No signs or markings show another way to park. Which final position does Wisconsin law require?
Only the two reference cars B and C sit beside the right curb of a two-way street. The card says A will occupy the intervening parking space; A’s final position is not pictured.
Correct answer: Right wheels within 12 inches of the curb, and at least 2 feet from the cars ahead and behind
Why
A car that is too far from the curb sticks out into the travel lane, where passing traffic can hit it. The 2-foot space at each end lets the other drivers leave their spaces without a collision. Park facing the same direction as the traffic on that side of the street.
