You want to move into the lane on your left on a four-lane road. Your inside and side mirrors show that the lane looks clear. What should you do next?
Silver B is beside the left rear of blue A in the adjacent same-direction lane.
Correct answer: Look over your left shoulder to check the blind spot beside your car.
Why
To change lanes, check your mirrors, look over your shoulder, check for drivers who may move into the same lane, and then signal and move. Mirrors cannot show the area just behind and beside your car, where a car or motorcycle can hide. Wyoming law requires a signal and allows the move only when you know it is safe. Do not change lanes before or while in an intersection.
