Turns, Lanes, Passing & MergingStandalone practice
You turn left from a two-way street onto a two-way street that has two lanes in each direction. Which lane should you turn into?
A approaches a left turn on a two-way road. The cross street has two lanes for the direction A will enter.
Correct answer: The lane closest to the center line on your side
Why
Wyoming law requires a left turn to start from the extreme left-hand lane for your direction and to end in the extreme left-hand lane of the road you enter. A right turn starts and ends as close as practical to the right curb. Turning into the proper lane keeps your path predictable and prevents conflicts with other turning drivers.
