Passing target: 16 correct signs and 16 correct rules (TLA practice targets)
A funeral procession is already crossing ahead of you at a side-road intersection. No police officer is directing you to proceed. What is the safest response?
Blue car A faces north on the right half of a side road. Several dark cars with small purple flags travel across the main road ahead.
Correct answer: Wait for a safe gap and do not cut in between procession vehicles
Why
Wait for a safe opportunity and do not cut off vehicles already crossing. A funeral procession does not by itself cancel ordinary traffic controls. The Bereavement Authority of Ontario says procession drivers must obey the law, including red lights, unless police are escorting and directing the procession. Obey a police officer’s traffic directions when given. Courtesy must not create a conflict or an assumed right to ignore a signal.
