Passing target: 16 correct signs and 16 correct rules (TLA practice targets)
Your vehicle is stalled on a railway crossing and a train is approaching. What should everyone in the vehicle do immediately?
Blue car A is stalled across a railway track. A freight locomotive approaches from the left, travelling right. No escape route is shown in the question image.
Correct answer: Get out and move away diagonally toward the train
Why
Get everyone out immediately. Run well away from the tracks on an approximately 45-degree diagonal toward the approaching train. This reduces exposure to debris that may travel with the train; it is not a guaranteed safe zone. Once safely clear, call the posted railway emergency number.
