Sunset today is at 7:40 p.m. The sky is still bright, and you can see clearly for more than 500 feet. By what time at the latest must your headlights be on?
Correct answer: 8:10 p.m., one half hour after sunset
Why
Headlights help other drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians see you, not only help you see. Turn them on earlier in rain, snow or fog and when you use your windshield wipers. Parking lights are not a substitute: use them only when you are parked.
