Passing target: 80% (52/65)
On a two-lane road, you follow a slow car up a hill. The center line is still broken where you are, but you cannot see over the top. What should you do?
A follows slow B on a broken-yellow section before a hilltop. A small labeled side profile identifies the crest and hidden view; no passing or hold action is highlighted.
Correct answer: Stay behind it until you can see far enough ahead to pass safely.
Why
An oncoming car can be hidden just beyond a hilltop or around a curve, and a head-on crash at highway speed is often deadly. Wait until you can see a clear oncoming lane that is long enough to finish the pass. The handbook also tells you to slow down on curves and hills.
