Passing target: 80% (52/65)
You drive in the right lane of a highway with two lanes in your direction. In a long curve to the left, your left tires ride on the broken white line between the lanes. A car in the left lane comes up behind you. What does Wisconsin law require?
A is inside a broad long left curve with its left-side ground footprint on the broken white divider. B approaches from behind in the left lane. A has no corrective halo or position.
Correct answer: Keep your car as nearly as you can entirely inside your own lane, also in the curve.
Why
Drivers in the next lane expect you to stay in your lane, so a drift over the line can cause a side crash. Slow down before a curve to a speed at which you can hold your lane, and look through the curve to where you want to go. If you drift often, you may be tired: the handbook lists drifting from your lane as a sign of drowsy driving.
